Beached in Miami and blogging

For about a month now, I have been working on a new site called beachedmiami.com with my good friend Robert Benjamin Campbell. It is a blog about Miami in which we, two native sons, seek to explore our city's every block for experiences beyond the club and sandy beach. It's basically a gamble that Miami has more to offer than South Beach, however fine a place. Growing up here, I was often frustrated with my options but I also accepted an image of Miami that wasn't necessarily a panorama. So now, finding myself back home indefinitely, I've set myself the task of getting that broader perspective. Beached will chronicle that journey.
